針對報導傳出，部分麥金塔電腦(Mac)使用者在升級至Mac OS X Leopard作業系統時，遭遇「藍色螢幕」的問題，蘋果公司周末已在網站上貼出公告，提出解決之道。

一些蘋果迷興沖沖地試著升級到Leopard，卻發現在安裝過程快要完成時遭遇障礙，逼得使用者嘗試重開機。蘋果討論區裡針對這個問題已展開長長的討論串，其中許多網友抱怨，他們的Mac會當在啟始開機畫面，動彈不得，而這個畫面又恰好是藍色的，令人不免聯想到象徵Windows系統當機的「藍色死亡螢幕」(blue screen of death)。

蘋果表示，這個問題可能與「應用程式加強軟體」(application enhancement software)有關，而Computerworld雜誌的一篇報導指出，肇禍的程式是Unsanity公司的的APE軟體。Unsanity開發軟體，讓麥金塔電腦使用者能把Mac OS的外觀和感覺修改得合乎自己想要的模樣。Unsanity發言人接受Computerworld訪問時表示，問題可能只發生在舊版的APE，早在蘋果改用英特爾晶片之前即已推出。

麥金塔使用者也在蘋果支援論壇中貼文指出，他們從未安裝過APE軟體，但在安裝新版作業系統時也發生問題。由此可見，不能完全歸咎於第三方的加強軟體。

蘋果在公告中，建議採取兩種Leopard升級方法以解決上述問題：新使用者應該用「Archive and Install」方式重新安裝Leopard；Mac老客戶可嘗試另一種解決方法，就是用命令列移除應用程式加強軟體。 (唐慧文/譯)
